What is School of Fresh?
School of Fresh (S.O.F.) is a non-profit barber school that empowers youth through free haircuts, mentorship, apprenticeships, and entrepreneurial skills training. We also promote positive mental health through hygiene and help young people unlock their full potential.
Is School of Fresh a registered nonprofit?
Yes — School of Fresh operates as School of Fresh (SOF Inc.), a non-profit organization.
Are donations tax-deductible?
We're finalizing our tax-exempt documentation. Contact us directly for the current status before making a donation you plan to deduct.
How are donations used?
Donations fund free haircuts for youth through our S.O.F. Pop Up events, our mentorship and apprenticeship programs, student outings, tuition, tools, and day-to-day operational costs.
Where is School of Fresh located, and what are your hours?
School of Fresh is located at 141 Flushing Avenue, Building 77, Suite 1232, Brooklyn, NY 11205. We're open Monday–Friday, 9am–7pm.
Can my organization book School of Fresh for an event?
Yes. Organizations can request a S.O.F. Pop Up Event or a general service booking through our Book Us page. Submit your preferred dates and details — no date is finalized until we confirm directly with you.
How can I get involved as a barber or mentor?
Apply through our Join Our Team page. We're always looking for barbers and mentors who want to give back — tell us a bit about yourself and we'll reach out.
How can I donate?
Visit our Donate page to give a preset or custom amount securely through our online donation form.
Does School of Fresh sell barbering supplies?
